Olive's father, Roy Arlow, bought Lot 16, Con. 8 in 1926 and farmed it for 33 years. He married Margaret Wilson in 1927 and they had three children: Bob, Eva, and Olive.
Scope and content
Item consists of a manuscript that contains memories of Olive Arlow growing up on the farm just outside of Elder's Mills. Topics include: farming, local businesses, schools and churches, Hurricane Hazel, WWII, scarlet fever, polio and quarantines, snowstorms, and local families and individuals.
