Item consists of a photoessay. The round house was reputedly built by Adam or Jacob Rupert in 1837. Octagonal shape of structure attributable to concerns re: heat and circulation space, and conservation of building materials; located lot 21, concession 4, Maple, Ontario.

Collection consists of images copied by SPOHT to act as reference tools for the organization in the execution of its functions and attendant activities. Index card-mounted images were classified by subject and fully described by the collection compiler, with subject cross references provided. Subjects devised by SPOHT include artists, children, churches, cemeteries, clubs and groups, families, farms, festivals, hotels and taverns, houses, old swimming hole, people, radial cars, recreation areas, schools, sports, stores, streetscapes, transportation,village doctor, village undertaker, women's group's, Yonge Street families.

File consists of copy prints of postcards relating to Maple in the late 19th and early 20th centuries; images document exterior appearance of Mr. Knight's undertaking parlour, as well former's residence (Mr. Knight shown standing in front); Temperance House and Sterling Savings Bank; St. Andrew's Presbyterian Church; streetscape encompassing 4th Street; streetscape, south side of Maple Avenue (Major McKenzie Dr.) at what would later become known as Keele St.; St Stephen's Anglican Church; and unidentified structure.

File consists of postcards. Postcards depict various streetscapes and a bird's-eye view of Maple, as well as a very unique coloured image of a radial street car crossing a bridge in an unidentified location in the general Maple area, and the Maple Public School.
