Isaac Baker Bridle Ornament

Accession M023.16 consists of a bridle ornament made by Isaac Baker. The bridle consists of a silver-plate piece in a scalloped shaped with a slight curve. Usually, a maker's mark is engraved onto this piece and then it is attached to the nose band of the bridle. Inscribed in the band of the bridge is "Isaac Baker / Saddler / Maple Ont."

Item consists of one poster dated May 14, 1878 offering a $40.00 reward for a stolen bay mare, a democrat waggon, a new set of black-mounted harnesses, two buffalo robes and a few bags of wheat. Goods were stolen from Samuel Smith, Lot 7, Concession 4 near Edgely.
