Fonds consists of images taken by Ms Pacchiarotti in an unofficial capacity documenting the presentation of original 1868 architectural plans of the Vellore School by the Vaughan Township Historical Society to Archives Vaughan in 1989 Dec., and the completion of the new archives facility earlier in the same year.

It includes a series of personal reminiscences intended to shed light on this reclusive and anti-materialistic individual. Born in 1901, MacDonald was the son of Group of Seven Artist J.E.H. Item consists of an unpublished essay relating to the experience of Robert Arthur West, the great-grandfather of the author, in Thornhill; Mr. West was the "Thornhill General Merchant" from 1834 to 1884. In addition to commenting upon the general history of Thornhill through its formative period, the essay describes the original store (located on lot 31 , east or Markham side of Yonge St.), subsequent structural changes, merchandise stocked, delineation of ownership from 1837-1937; the house originally built by Mr. West (7780 Yonge St., on west or Vaughan side of Yonge Street), and the latter's recollections of life along Yonge Street during the period specified; includes observations re: Fire of 1950 and Hurricane Hazel in 1954.

Document is an alphabetical listing by surname of individuals appearing on personal and agricultural dicennial census for Vaughan Township (i.e. householders) for noted date; information includes page number the entry appears on in official census record, land division number, age, country of origin, occupation and religion of householder; as well as name, age, country of origin,and religion of spouse and household members over 14 years of age; in addition, notes location of property of each householder in terms of lot and concession.

Item consists of an account ledger used by an unknown person or family to record daily expenses and the number of stock born each year. The names of many people also appear throughout the ledger when the owner of the ledger either sold them items, stock, services or paid them wages. Book gives a good example of the cost of everyday items (ex. sugar, apples, bread, eggs, lemons, oil cloth, curtains, paper, starch) as well as the type of items available at that time and their change in value over time. Ledger was also used by a child for scribbling and writing practice.
