Routley, who practiced medicine in Maple from 1909 to 1922, and for 27 years was chief executive officer of the Canadian Red Cross Society, and contributed to the Blue Cross Plan for hospital care which began in 1941. The vehicle he is driving appears to be a Ford Model T and is situated in the vicinity of Major Mackenzie Drive and Keele Street.
