Shunk copy book (arithmetic) from Edgeley School; 1854-1889; indentures and deed of land to Shunk property, 1854-1895; photoprints and textual material re: Keffers and Shunks; Marion Keffer's personal papers; bulk of fonds: notes and compilation of M. Keffer re: pursuit of genealogy in Ontario, and early Vaughan Township families. Also of interest is an interview done by Marion in 1977 with her cousins, Margaret and Rose, regarding their trip via wagon in 1909.

Item consists of a photocopy of a photograph. Image executed from an elevated perespective depicting a ploughing match in full swing, with a fair number of spectators in attendance, for residents of Vaughan and Markham Township.

File consists of photographs collected by the McQuarrie family. Images illustrate work and formal attire of the day typical of rural Ontario, horses raised on farm, period automobiles, architectural structures located on the farm, a tractor-drawn combine, as well as personalities associated with the farm.

Collection consists of a broadside that describes material for sale, and photos provide graphic evidence of same; of particular note are a number of 19th-century structures constructed of hand-hewn timbers; also images of horse-drawn carriage and sleigh from the same period are present.

Collection consists of four newspapers from 1924: The Liberal, the Bolton Enterprise, The Farmers' Sun, and The Times and Guide for Weston, Ontario.

Fonds consists of family histories and genealogical material, histories of schools and churches in Pine Grove and Woodbridge as well as the communities themselves, photographs, photo albums, scrapbooks, architectural drawings of the St. Margaret Mary School, diplomas, report cards, invitations, certificates, awards, programs, maps, correspondence, newspaper ad layouts, newspaper clippings, and commemorative coins from the 1991 inauguration of the City of Vaughan. Also includes County of York uniform promotion examination certificate documenting promotion of Mary O'Rourke of the Pine Grove School and an indenture between Alfred and Harriet Gooderham, grantors, and Michael O'Rourke, grantee. Also contains "1833 it was -- a trading post and granary 1989 it is -- a house of the 20th century", an unpublished essay by Norberta O'Rourke which details the history of the Elliot Trading Post and surrounding area, originally constructed on Lot 11, Concession 8, Vaughan Township in 1833.
