Index card-mounted images were classified by subject and fully described by the collection compiler, with subject cross references provided. Subjects devised by SPOHT include artists, children, churches, cemeteries, clubs and groups, families, farms, festivals, hotels and taverns, houses, old swimming hole, people, radial cars, recreation areas, schools, sports, stores, streetscapes, transportation,village doctor, village undertaker, women's group's, Yonge Street families.

File consists of three copies of a pictorial book with text depicting a wide range of structures throughout Vaughan including schools, churches, stores, farms, houses, and mills.
