Collection consists of reproductions of Cartographic items depicting various man-made and natural physical features of Vaughan Township and York County: rivers, road and railway systems, churches, schools, post offices, saw and grist mills, landowners, concession and lot layout. Collection is multi-provenance.

Item consists of a minute book. Record of Council deliberations and decisions; includes transcriptions of committee reports and financial statements (receipts and disbursements) of Corporation of United Counties of York and Peel; Council petitions to the Legislature are also present.

Fonds consists of textual records and photographs. Lutheran prayer book, 1784; marriage register, 1858-1872; Sherwood Grange, No. 205 (farmer's co-op similar to UFO) minute books, 1875-1887; Wm. Shunk copy book (arithmetic) from Edgeley School; 1854-1889; indentures and deed of land to Shunk property, 1854-1895; photoprints and textual material re: Keffers and Shunks; Marion Keffer's personal papers; bulk of fonds: notes and compilation of M. Keffer re: pursuit of genealogy in Ontario, and early Vaughan Township families. Also of interest is an interview done by Marion in 1977 with her cousins, Margaret and Rose, regarding their trip via wagon in 1909.

Official decennial enumeration of households and their inhabitants of municipalities constituting York County, Vaughan Township inclusive, with related demographic and economic statistics, and certain information schedules such as industry and agriculture. Specific census dates are: 1842, 1851, 1861, 1871, 1881, 1891, 1901.
