Photoprint of Earls, latter's band book, and oath of allegiance and office certification as acting landing waiter of customs; halftone photomechanical print of Wallace, and medal of unknown origin inscribed with Wallace's name, and L.O.L. No. 28 P.D.M. Vaughan in shape of star, with wreath and crossed hammers superimposed.

Collection consists of multi-provenance reproductions of Cartographic items relating to two major villages in Vaughan Township, Kleinburg and Thornhill; as well as the Village of Woodbridge. Thornhill: 3 site plans, 1859, 1872, 1939; Kleinburg: 3 site plans, 1848, 1849, 1865; Woodbridge: 5 site plans, 1853, 1878, 1882, 1884, 1919.

Fonds consists of evidence of the organization, functions, and activities of the municipality's constituent bodies, elected and appointed. Specific areas of jurisdiction and activity delineated include: local ordinances, elections, county and provincial relations, finance and accounting, legal matters, judicial affairs, police and fire protection, municipal planning, public works, hydro-electric service, education(S.S. #14), libraries, licencing, public health and welfare, statistical gathering, records custodianship, recreation, and housing.

Fonds consists of Vaughan Township Council minutes, 1930; voters lists 1958, 1960, 1964, 1968, 1970; annual report of Council, 1947, 1964; report of Waterworks Committee, 1964; and sundry material. Numerous legal documents relating to the Bryson property, east half of lot 34, concession 7 are present; these include the original deed conveying the subject lands to James McMurchy in 1841, as well as the last will and testament of James and Archibald McMurchy, respectively. Also present is advertising material re: Vaughan Industrial Acres, and a report on historically and architecturally significant structures in Vaughan, 1975, and a biographical sketch of Major "Lex" Mackenzie. Images depict the class of 1916 of the Agricultural Short Course offered by the Ont. Ministry of Agriculture, the Maple Cattle Breeders Association, 1946, and architecture and streetscapes in Vaughan Township, 1920-1976; (predominantly 1975-1976). A number of the photographs appear to be formatted for the production of G. E. Reaman's 1971 monograph re: Vaughan Township. A small aggregate of early 20th century postcards relating to Vaughan and Woodbridge collected by Jesse Bryson round out the fonds. The records donated by the Brysons in 2000 are composed of Vaughan Council minutes from 1867-1972; correspondence; electoral boundary maps; Vaughan Township by-laws(1850-1983) and policies; reports from the Vaughan Planning Department; election brochures; voter lists; community pamphlets for events in which Jesse either participated or attended; papers from the Soil Conservation society of America, the Metropolitan Toronto and Region Conservation Authority, York County Federation of Agriculture, and Black Creek Pioneer Village; Vaughan Treasurer Accounts from 1893-1905; Vaughan Auditors Reports; planning reports from the C.N.R. Railyard; 2 1918 photographs from the Agricultural Short Course; pamphlets and papers from the International Plowing Match; reports from the Purpleville School Board of Trustees; posters and letters concerning the Vaughan Liquor Vote of 1963; records from the Vaughan Museum Committee; annual reports from the York Central Hospital; letters and reports from the Soil Conservation Society of America; tax assessments from 1921-1970; letters from the Agricultural Institute of Canada; programs from the opening of the Bloorview Children

Subjects: architecture, streetscapes, commercial enterprises, etc. in Woodbridge between ca. 1860 and 1940; include Cousins' General Store, Bagg's Grocery Store, Wallace Bros. Millinery Room, Elm Park, Wallace Street, Eighth Avenue, Main Street; also panorama of Pine Grove.

Printer's plates and photographs

File consists of printing plates and photographs. All material in this series relates to Woodbridge : printer's plates depict Implement Day, 1900, the Village Council, 1886, and 1960, the Memorial Tower, the Woodbridge corporate seal, maps of the village, 1870, and 1960. Prints depict W.H. Young, Clerk of the Village of Woodbridge, a gasoline threshing engine, 1912, and a farm equipment retail outlet.

Fonds consists of 11 photoprints of students of the Vellore School, 1907-1964 (bulk 1949-1964), with students identified in most cases; and 1 photoprint of Woodbridge (Ont.) prior to the course of the Humber being altered in 1960. Mary Wood collection [Textual record and other material]

Fonds consists of textual records, photographic material and objects. Textual material predominantly composed of scrapbooks containing newspaper clippings, typescripts, circulars, brief histories and biographical sketches, pamphlets, etc. Also, graphic material including photoprints, some of which are located in the abovereferenced binders, slides, and microfiche copies of 2 photo albums. All material reflects Mrs. Wood's eclectic conception of those topics, events, persons, places, etc. constituting the history of the Vaughan area, with a particular emphasis on Woodbridge. M013.40 includes 19 diaries kept by Mary Wood between 1928 and 1989 as well as various cookbooks from the 1960s-1980s, photos of the Mud Brick House being moved, photos of the Fairground Lane Houses in Woodbridge being developed, and a Woodbridge School class photo from 1914 or 1915 as well as a book recording the graves at various cemeteries between 1921 and 1954. Also a book with obituary newspaper clippings from 1982 to 1989 and details on Wayne and Gert's 1956 wedding.

M019.3 contains material from Mary Wood received via Ann and Wayne Wood. This accession contains physical material from the Woodbridge Fall Fair (one cap, one candy dish, one entry ticket), one button with a mirror and a photograph material related to the funerals of Mary Wood, John Wood, and various others held at Scott Funeral Home in Woodbridge from 1969 to 1980. There is also 108 various Woodbridge photos (some identified, some not), 4 photo negatives, 1 stereosocopic negative, 14 negative strips, 3 postcards, business cards from Woodbridge in the mid-20th century, a baby book and pamphlet for Wayne Wood and funeral registers for (James Alvin Wood and Mary Wood, as well as the marriage certifcate and wedding book for John Wood and Mary (nee Brown) Wood. In addition, there are a couple scrapbooks of newspaper clippings, cards and documents, and a portrait of Mary Wood.
