File consists of maps compiled as part of a York University Geography course, 1984. Three sets of 2 maps (1 each of Vaughan and King Township per set); the first set delineates land use per 1000 acre blocks; the second indicates the names of landowners/tenants; the final set outlines the number of horses, oxen, cattle, sheep, and swine per 1000 acre block. All maps are based on the 1851 nominal and agricultural census returns.

Item consists of a site plan of the property of Benjamin Thorne and William Parsons, his brother-in-law, who operated grist mill, tannery, general store in area that came to be known as Thornhill and developed extensive trade with surrounding areas and Britain; property lost in 1848 as consequence of repeal of the protectionist Corn Laws in 1846; survey of property, including part of lot 30, concession 1 as well as lot 31, concession 1and lot 32, concession 1, ordered by trustees.

Oral history interview recorded on sound tape cassette, 1990 Apr. 6, and copies of military identification card and sports champion certificate of Bomber Group R.C.A.F. Volleyball Tournament, 1945 Jul. 7, and copyprints of Sergeant Price, 1945, and of championship team of above referenced tournament. Oral history interview focuses on Mr. Price's wartime experiences and Vaughan Township's reaction to World War II.
