The fonds consists of records that reflect the different roles that Janet played throughout her life as well as the various activities and functions she performed throughout the community. The fonds is arranged into five series and then various subseries, all of which reflect Janet’s diverse activities.

The majority of the records are textual (i.e. minutes, reports, correspondence, published material, newspapers, etc.) although there is also a sizable photograph collection as well as some maps and plans and even artwork. Fonds consists of: Binder Twine Festival programs, posters, artwork, committee minutes, advertising, press releases, copies of by-laws, books, correspondence, account ledgers, newsletters, speeches, research notes, newspaper clippings, cassette tapes, Kleinburg/community history notes (eg. File consists of 2 photographs. Hope School was built ca. 1864 on the west half of Lot 28, Conceesion 3, and closed in 1967. The Edgely United Church was built in 1877; with the union of the Methodist churches, Edgeley became attached to the Maple circuit; it was closed in 1961, and demolished in 1969.

Transcriptions of original baptismal, marriage, and burial registers of the Holy Trinity Anglican Church in Thornhill, the tenth oldest parish in the Diocese of Toronto, established in 1830. An index of all names appearing in the register transcriptions (participants, witnesses, etc.) is included.

Fonds consists of correspondence, administrative files, by-laws, newspaper clippings, scrapbooks, financial documents, membership lists, fair program and prize lists, legal documents, advertising and promotional material, videocassettes, photoprints, postcards, posters, and ephemera. Most records generated as a result of administration of the Woodbridge Fair with subject matter including Miss Woodbridge Pageant, space requests, general activities, exhibits, Woodbridge Fair Parade, Woodbridge Centennial, livestock judging, etc. M999.9 accession constituted of the Woodbridge Fall Fair papers such as programs, posters, applications for permits, newspaper clippings, correspondence and photographs. The remnants of a tin time capsule from 1924 that was opened in 1997 are also included along with the contents of the time capsule including: 1921-1924 Woodbridge Fair prize lists and letters written by Daniel C. Longhouse. Fonds also includes papers from the Burwick Women
