Collection consists of promotional materials to mark the 25th Anniversary of Vaughan becoming a City. Included in the collection are various news articles, celebration flags, pins and lyrics to Mayor Bevilacqua's song "Vaughan is the Place to Be". Also included are Vaughan 25th Celebration Gloves that were given to staff members, as well as promotional materials for Family Day, and Winterfest.

Collection consists of photographs. Photoprints of various political office holders and municipal employees of Vaughan Township, 1850-1970, and the Village of Woodbridge, 1882-1970; political office and civic position most commonly represented: reeve and township/village clerk, respectively.

Item consists of an index. Alphabetical list of names of individuls appearing in the General Register of Births and Baptisms, originally compiled in June of 1843 following the Annual Conference of the Wesleyan Methodist Church in Canada, ending 1874; entries for 1874 to 1884 fall under the auspices of the Methodist Church in Canada, and those 1884 to 1893 the Methodist Church of Canada, reflecting the organizational changes experience by the agency in question. Entries for Burkholder index are arranged alphabeticaly by father's name so that they appear in family groups. 794 entries appearing under the heading "Vaughan" in the General Register appear in the index.

Series consists of postcards. Series is the product of the activity of the Vaughan Township Historical Society in the area of acquiring documentation relating to the history of the City of Vaughan and its antecedents; all such material is as a matter of policy donated to the City of Vaughan Archives. Individual postcards constituting the series were purchased over time at various public auctions. The series depicts physical aspects of a number of villages and hamlets in Vaughan Township, as well as the independent Village of Woodbridge. Specifically, images address a number of subjects: dams, churches, cemeteries, bridges, streetscapes, buildings, railroads, mills, bird's-eye views, etc.; geographic jurisdictions within Vaughan Township covered include Kleinburg, Maple, Teston, Pine Grove, Edgeley, and Nashville.

Fonds consists of the records of the Vaughan Township Police and reflect the organization, functions and principal activities of this agency. However, the fonds is fragmentary and as such may at best be considered a somewhat representative or, perhaps, more accurately, a random sample of the series that were originally generated by the agency in question. While the specific extent and composition of these series is not possible to determine, in light of the nature of the surviving records, it may be surmised with a relative degree of accuracy that the original series were more than five in number. Moreover, the ultimate size of the
force, 29 officers by 1970, would have ensured a relatively large series.

Fonds is but a fragmentary representation of record series originally generated by the Dept. Record types represented include correspondence, reports, public opinion surveys, returns of fines from York County Magistrate's Court, by-laws, personnel records, financial documents, technical documentation re: communications, legal, and judicial records, etc.

Collection consists of textual records and broadside reflecting economic and social life in Vaughan and York County generally: excerpts from Burrows and Ferguson family papers, 1844; Vaughan Anti-bacchannalian Society minute book, 1852-1853; Henry Porter commercial records , 1854-1855.

File consists of photographs of various scenes and people in Vaughan Township from the mid 19th century to the late 20th century.

Collection consists of deeds of land, indentures, agreements of tenancy, land claims, lists of lands for bargain and sale, etc. collected for their artifactual and aesthetic value, as well as their utility to genealogists; indentures predominate.

Fonds consists of records reflecting the abovenoted functions: correspondence, assessment and collector's rolls, printed matter, minutes, financial and legal documents, judicial reocrds, voters lists, tax arrears material, etc. Major subjects addressed include transportation, agriculture, economic development, the Great Depression, the World Wars, Clergy Reserves, labour issues, electoral reform, etc.
