  • [ca. 1860-1964], predominant [ca. 1860-1910]

Fonds consists of photographs, including examples of the three earliest photographic processes: daguerreotypes, ambrotypes, and tintypes. All of the above are formal studio portraits depicting individuals who are presumably members of the Farrand family, [ca. 1855-1865]; a number of the albumen photoprints within the fonds are also formal posed studio portraits, and appear in cartes-de-visite and cabinet card formats. Depot, Woodbridge School, etc. [ca. 1885-1910] are present. Accompanying the fonds is a small grouping of textual material: correspondence between C.J.S Farrand and Mary Wood, 1963-64; a souvenir prize list and program for the 100th Anniversary Woodbridge Fair, 1947; also a small number of three dimensional artifacts accompany the fonds: 2 ribbons from the Woodbridge Fair, "Guest", 1935 and "Hon. Director", 1910, and an imitation pewter atomizer enscriberd "Zoe E. Snider".
