The VTHS was established in 1970 as an advocacy group for the preservation and promotion of Vaughan's architectural and documentary heritage.

Scope and content

Item consists of a videocassette. Joe Stong was interviewed by the Vaughan Township Historical Society for the videorecording "Dear hearts and gentle people : people and places in Maple, 1949-1950". The interview focuses not only upon Maple and its residents, but also on the history of Stong family in Vaughan and North York, and its impact on the development of the aforementioned communities.
