Jean Bryson was born Jean Alberta Keffer on December 16, 1922 on Lot 9, Concession 4 of Vaughan Township. Jean attended Maple Public School, Vaughan Collegiate Institute, and Toronto Normal School. She taught at Pine Grove Public School from 1943 to 1946 and at C.B. Parsons Public School from 1949 to 1952. She married Jesse Alexander Bryson in 1948, and they had two children, Barbara Ruth and Raymond David. An avid historian, Jean was the Tweedsmuir Convener as well as the President of the Vellore Women
