Custodial history

N. Clarke Wallace, 1844-1901, was a life-long resident of Woodbridge. He was president of the West York Agricultural Society, 1889-1890, and a Member of Parliament. Thomas Edward Earls was born in County Sligo, Ireland, in 1851 and was raised in Woodbridge. He died there in 1914. Wallace and Earls were first cousins.

Scope and content

Fonds consists of prints and objects. Photoprint of Earls, latter's band book, and oath of allegiance and office certification as acting landing waiter of customs; halftone photomechanical print of Wallace, and medal of unknown origin inscribed with Wallace's name, and L.O.L. No. 28 P.D.M. Vaughan in shape of star, with wreath and crossed hammers superimposed.
