The Carrville School was opened in 1860 and continued to serve hamlet of Carrville until ca. 1962 when it was closed and its students bused elsewhere in Vaughan Township.
Scope and content
Item consists of a pamphlet that provides a sketchy historical outline for Carrville School, and early history of Vaughan Township including list of some of the earliest patent holders, experiences of prominent Loyalists who settled in Vaughan Township, local reaction to and participation in the Rebellion of 1837, etc.
