City of Vaughan Recreation Services fonds

Fonds consists of a banner used for the official opening of City Hall, as well as 46 reference books on Canada, Ontario and Vaughan Township history. Also included is 1 enlargement of the Humber River on foam core. Of particular interest is a 2000 calendar with Lorna Jackson's artwork, a 1986 Kleinburg Binder Twine Festival program, a book on the Keffer Site and archeaological dig, a book from the Pennsylvania-German folklore society on the baker family homestead, an article on Patterson in the York Pioneer Journal, and writeups on Al Palladini and Gus Lanzarotta's businesses.

The October 2011 Accession (RG 18-011.1) included a banner to commemorate the Official Opening of the New City Hall on September 25, 2011. The majority of the images on this banner were taken from City of Vaughan Archives. The banner provides a timeline and depicts images of buildings used for City Hall throughout Vaughan's history as well as scenes from Vaughan's past.

The May 2014 Accession (RG 18 -014.2) included a CD consisting of images depicting the Inaugural Council of 2010, the Vaughan Accord of 2011, as well as photos of the new City Hall Construction, Christmas Wish Toy Drive, and Old Heritage and Vaughan Celebrates Photos from 2010.

Accession M022.4 contains objects related to well-known Vaughan figures and insitutions including John Thompson, Major Mackenzie, Garnet Williams and Elizabeth Arden. Many books contain inscriptions relating to the Stump family and the Bibles have inserts of birth registers and obituaries.

Accession M024.4 consists of 3 files relating to heritage properties on Keele Street: 8981 Keele, 9589 Keele and 9560 Keele.

Office of the City Clerk fonds

Fonds consists of assessment rolls for the period 1970 to 1997 and supplementary assessment rolls, voters' lists, certificates, graphic material (paintings, photos, plaques, and posters used to decorate Clerk's Dept. offices and boardrooms) and a taxi owner's pin and tariff rates card.

M020.2 consists of a signed version of the Vaughan Accord and one copy. The Vaughan Accord commits all members of Council to serving the City of Vaughan in a manner which reflects a positive image of the City and instills civic pride. The Accord outlines Council's commitment and dedication to the task of city-building and states that "a vibrant and successful city depends on a Council that is prepared to work together, constructively, and always in the best interest of the City of Vaughan." The Accord was endorsed at a special ceremony on December 4, 2018.

M022.7 consists of framed photographs of 2018-2022 Council members.

Accession M023.4 consists of a 3D printed bust of former Mayor Maurizio Bevilacqua.

Accession M023.5 consists of a catalogue of city-owned properties. It has photos of specific properties and lists their estimated value in 1994.

Accession M023.6 consists of textual records relating to the evolution of City of Vaughan, such as handbooks, historical notes and the December 2013 ice storm.

Accession M023.7 consists of a crest of the City of Vaughan that was given to former Mayor Maurizio Bevilacqua for his service from 2010 to 2022, also known as the Chain of Office.

Accession M023.8 consists of documents detailing the historic incorporation of the City of Vaughan, as well as a Community Profile of the City in 1991.

Accession M024.5 consists of a pin in a case for the Order of Vaughan and the program from an investitute ceremony.
